Richard is Richard de Vernon. He held land in the Wirral, in Macclesfield Hundred, and Nantwich (Audlem) as well as the block in Middlewich Hundred. The latter area included Shipbrook, Leftwioh, Wharton, Davenham and Bostock in addition to Moulton.
